Bitcoin Pizza Day Celebrated at the ftNFT Phygital Space
On May 22, one of the blockchain community’s most beloved holidays — Bitcoin Pizza Day — was celebrated at the ftNFT Phygital Space in Yerevan. This day marks the first real-world transaction ever made using cryptocurrency. Since that iconic purchase, Bitcoin’s value has skyrocketed — making those two round meals the most expensive pizzas in history.
Thanks to Fastex’s initiative, the event once again brought together digital innovation and a warm, friendly atmosphere: free pizza and drinks all day, new connections, pleasant and informative conversations.
"Fastex, as one of the leading companies in the industry, will continue to support the blockchain community and such initiatives," said Niko Nikoyan, Head of Marketing at Fastex.
The event was attended by crypto enthusiasts, representatives of the tech industry and a variety of interested people. The day was filled with both meaningful discussions about Web3 and NFT and casual conversations over pizza.
One of the visitors, Ani Martirosyan, shared her thoughts on the gathering: “I believe this day isn’t just about Bitcoin or pizza. It’s more about risk-taking, faith in the future and the idea that blockchain technology can reshape the future of the economy.”
Fastex consistently values the importance of such events as a way to build community and make Web3 ideas more accessible. The message of the day: pizza wasn’t just food — it symbolized unity, a passion for innovation and confidence in the future.
