Fastex Educational Initiatives with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice
On October 24, Ca’ Foscari University, housed in the ancient palace of Venice, hosted a course where Vardan Khachatryan, the Chief Legal Officer of Fastex and a Member of the Board of Directors, was the main speaker. The class, taught by Associate Professor Sona Harutyunyan, Ph.D., from the University of Venice, was a great success, providing students with a broad understanding of blockchain technology and the emerging sphere of Web3.
During his talk on “NFTs and Cultural Preservation - Protecting Art and Heritage in the Digital Age,” Khachatryan shared his extensive experience in the field, reflecting on the opportunities offered by blockchain technology and its revolutionary impact on various sectors. He presented the transformative potential of Web3, emphasizing the importance of understanding and embracing these advancements.
“Fastex, being a group of Web3 companies, has its own influence on the art sector, especially through the AKN project,” Khachatryan stated. “Through Fastex, we are partnering with universities, including Ca’ Foscari University, in order to provide students with access to Web3 technology and explore how it can impact the arts and other humanities.”
Professor Harutyunyan, the course moderator, highly appreciated the initiative, highlighting the significance of interaction between industry leaders and academic circles. “The University of Venice places great importance on conducting seminars and meetings parallel to traditional courses as part of public involvement. Today’s event with Fastex representatives completes a series of events within this framework. We highly value our cooperation with Fastex,” she noted.
Nare Harutyunyan, a graduate of Ca’ Foscari University and Marketing Content Project Coordinator of Fastex, shared her journey with the students, inspiring them to apply their humanities knowledge in the rapidly evolving digital world.
As part of this cooperation, a few days ago, students from Giuseppe Parini High School had a unique opportunity to visit the AKNEYE Phygital Space in Venice. They enjoyed a wonderful experience with artist Margarita Zakharova and engaged in creative activities, painting on Aknuloonk, which was later presented to the school as a special gift.
Fastex, with its AKNEYE project, is dedicated to the continuous promotion of educational collaborations. With the Venice Biennale underway, initiatives like these are even more important as they bring technology and art education together and raise awareness of the fields among youth. Events at Ca' Foscari University and the AKNEYE Phygital Space demonstrate their ongoing efforts to inspire and educate the next generation.
