Fastex allocated 20 million drams for the re-equipment of the Armath engineering laboratories

Fastex allocated 20 million drams for the re-equipment of the “Armath” engineering laboratories. As part of the initiative, the opening ceremony of the “Armath” engineering laboratory of the Dilijan Multifunctional State College took place on January 13. In total, 1 laboratory was opened and 32 laboratories were re-equipped through his partnership, 16 of which are located in Tavush and 17 in Shirak.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Co-founder of the Badalyan Brothers Group of Companies, Roman Badalyan, Fastex CEO, Vakhtang Abrahamyan, President of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), Alexander Yesayan and UATE CEO, Sargis Karapetyan. Within the framework of the project, the laboratories were equipped with computers, 3D printers and gimlet tools, and the robotics kit was replenished.

"Laboratories like "Armath" play a significant role in the education of generations and the future development of the country. Education and science are the greatest guarantee for the development of our country. Fastex gives great importance to the advancement of the IT sector. One of our important goals is to strengthen the technical education base in Armenia,” mentioned Roman Badalyan, Co-founder of the Badalyan Brothers Group of Companies, in his speech.

President of UATE, Alexander Yesayan, emphasized the importance of technological and engineering education and the implementation of such projects in a rapidly developing reality. During the event, the works of students of the "Armath" engineering laboratories operating in the Dilijan and Tavush regions, such as drones, competition-winning robots and other projects, were demonstrated.

The “Armath” program has been implemented by the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises since 2011. Available in every second school, “Armath” gives children the opportunity to take advantage of technological and engineering education. The goal of the program is to provide schoolchildren with the opportunity to receive an engineering education, help to choose a profession, formulate and find solutions to their own and community problems. “Armath” has about 650 laboratories in Armenia and in 7 other countries: Georgia, India, the USA, Eswatini, Bangladesh, France and Kuwait.

The renovation will allow students to once again use the laboratory facilities and more effectively prepare for current competitions by presenting their projects.

Fastex, remaining true to its mission of social responsibility, continues to support the development of education and the promotion of innovative ideas in Armenia.
